All kids love to goto the beach and play with sand. But it is not possible to take kids very often to the beach. If you are near  the beach, then also it not practical to take your child everyday to the beach and let him play with sand. A very good alternative to sand play is the Kinetic Sand .

Kinetic sand looks like regular sand but is available in different colours and can  mold it in any shape.

You can make your own Kinetic Sand at home for your kids. This is a wonderful recipe and the sand has a great texture. It is completely moldable, it seems like it is wet but it’s not! The best part is when you are done with it, you can put back the lid back on the container and can keep it for months.

The child only needs a big bin of sand and some beach toys or plastic cups to play with. To make it more interesting you can give your child, clay molds to make different shapes.

You can even hide different objects , like their small toys, animals, alphabet or number puzzle pieces and ask your child to find the hidden objects.

If your child is fond of cars and trucks, then kinetic sand is an excellent play option. Let him bring his cars and trucks. Ask him to put them in the sand and see how much he enjoys playing with them in the sand.
